Abrasive grinding wheels, also known as self-adhesive discs or Velcro discs, are manufactured using abrasive sheets with a fabric or paper backing, as well as a special fabric (Velcro) that secures the disc to the support disc. This type of tool is very easy and quick to replace after wear. Grinding wheels are available in diameters of 200, 180 , 150 , 125 , and 115 mm. They vary in the type of abrasive grain and the presence of dust removal holes.

Due to their high hardness, Velcro discs are widely used when working with wood, stone, metal, paint, ceramic materials, parquet, and plastic. To achieve maximum results, it's important to choose the right abrasive type (for example, corundum is used for metal surfaces, while silicon carbide is used for stone), disc type (perforated or unperforated), and the right grit for the desired processing stage.

An abrasive cloth is one of the most essential tools when performing various types of work, including rough cleaning using wheels with a grain size of P24 - P600 and polishing with wheels with an abrasive grain size of P1500 - P3000.

Self-engaging discs are used on angle grinders, straight grinders, angle grinders, and eccentric sanders. Angle grinders and grinders use a special self-engaging backing pad. Its rigidity and quality are crucial for effective operation. During the grinding process, it is important to monitor the load and prevent the backing pad from overheating.
